There are many reasons to give to United Way of Mesa County. These motivations are unique, just like the Grand Valley. Three local supporters explain in their own words
why they invest in United Way.

I support United Way for two reasons. The money raised here stays here. Also, because the community gets to decide where the funds are best used and makes sure they are being used properly. – Zach R., business owner.

It was important for Networks Unlimited to get involved with United Way based on our philosophy. We care about the community that we work in and want to make sure that we give back when we can. The workplace campaign was an easy way for all of our employees to contribute and make a difference in the community. I, personally, like the fact that the United Way is able to spread their funds to so many wonderful causes to ensure the community’s needs are met in the most crucial ways. – Laura P., workplace campaign coordinator.

Having served on the United Way Board and several allocation panels it became overwhelmingly apparent that there are folks in our community that need some assistance. That need for assistance comes in so many forms; mental or physical health, food, shelter – it’s a long list. United Way is critical not only from a funding perspective but it also allows our agencies to leverage our support in their quest for other funding. I’m confident our funding process is known to be robust and independent which helps to serve financial needs of our agencies. – Steve A., United Way of Mesa County campaign co-chair (past).
